There has been a significant increase in Turkish residence by all sections of the society, and this issue has been due to the economy and political conditions. In the past years, only professionals and educated people decided to travel, but now they want to immigrate and receive residency from any job and position.
If you intend to stay in Turkey longer than the time stated in your visa, you must apply for Turkish residence. You can get permanent residence in Turkey for purposes such as work, business creation, education, accommodation, and through your family.
What are the advantages residence in Turkey?
• Having permission to travel to 80 countries without the need to obtain a visa and to travel to Europe and the countries of the Schengen area and the European Union with the possibility of obtaining a visa immediately.
• Having the right to do business and employment in Turkish public and private companies without the need to obtain a work permit.
• The possibility of receiving loans from all banks and private and public institutions in Turkey.
• Having the right to purchase installments such as property, cars as a Turkish citizen.
• Obtaining the national card of Turkey and having the right to receive health insurance and pension at a discount.
• Permission to receive an international credit card and pay in installments for all purchased items in all parts of the world.
• Dual citizenship is recognized in Turkey, and the conditions for obtaining Turkish citizenship do not require renunciation of the previous citizenship.
The Turkish government usually issues a residence permit to all people who provide complete documents and gives a Kymilik to everyone. But in some cases these requests are rejected.
The most important reasons for rejecting the Turkish residence application
In the initial stages of the residence application, there are several factors that are checked by the Turkish Immigration Department. Let’s review these factors together:
• The number of immigrants in the area you plan to stay in should not be more than allowed. In this case, your request will be rejected.
• If you have bought your house from an area whose name is among the parts where the Turkish government does not grant real estate residence to the purchase of a house from those neighborhoods.
• Having a history of rejection can cause problems for the residence application and the approval of the immigration department.
• If you are not present at the Turkish Immigration Office or Guch at the time of the interview request, your application will be rejected.
• Staying by renting a house or staying as a tourist is only 6 months. If you have not applied for permanent residence during this period, your request for re-residence will be rejected.
• If you have a criminal record, there is a possibility that your application will be rejected.
• Get your financial ability certificate approved and somehow prove that you will bring money to this country.
• If you do not have the financial ability, one of your first-degree relatives must have citizenship (Turkish passport) or you have a child who is studying in Turkey and you can apply through them.
If the residence request is rejected, the foreign national applicant must leave the country within 10 days after the expiration date of the visa or the visa exemption period (if any). Foreign nationals who do not leave the country on time will be fined. 6 months after this date, you can apply for residence again. Foreigners are allowed to stay in Turkey for 90 days without the need for a visa.
If the residence permit application is rejected, the applicant must leave the country within the remaining legal period. If the foreign national wants to apply for residence immediately, he must file a new application for a residence permit. This means that the applicant must apply for another type of residence permit. If a person wants to apply using the same method as before, he must wait 6 months and apply for residency after 6 months.
At the whole, you should choose the method that is less risky. For example, buying a property is the easiest and most reliable way to stay, and renting a residential unit is the most risky, because next year you have to get a stay in another way.
If your request for residence is rejected once, the checks will be done more sensitively the next time. However, depending on the applicant’s circumstances, the chances of getting admission vary. It is better to consult a knowledgeable and reliable consultant in this regard.
